Where do the inflation rates come from?
When available, rates use the latest World Bank annual consumer-price inflation observation for that country. Otherwise we fall back to a simplified estimate. The calculator compounds a single annual rate — it is not a full month-by-month CPI series.
Can I inflate a salary and a rent the same way?
Yes — enter any amount in local currency. Housing and wages do not always move in lockstep with headline CPI, so treat results as directional.
